Auto conditions and layout

It reads the plans, builds the condition, and lays the real tiles.

Conditions come from the legend, finish schedule, specs and quotes. Then the layout puts real pieces on the room, so you see the cuts and the waste before you buy.

Auto conditions

It reads the plans and builds the condition. Live

Before you measure, the legend, the finish schedule, the specs and the quotes have already been read. Each field on the condition says where it came from, and a Show me on every field opens that exact spot on the sheet or the spec page.

Every tag becomes its own condition.CPT-1 through CPT-13, SV-1 through SV-8, each named from the finish legend.
Heights from the notes.A tag that says "AT 10'-0"" sets the condition's height.
Count the legend.Box the symbol legend. Each row becomes a count condition, and every match on the plan becomes a count to approve.
Not yours stays out.Spaces tagged for another trade are left out, and you can bring them back with one tap.

Conditions link to the math. The condition sends pieces, boxes and waste to the bid, and the trade math prices it. See bid math
Layout

It lays the real tiles on the room.

Counts come from the pieces drawn on the plan, so a tile that touches the room is a tile you buy. Pick where the layout starts, then flip between patterns to see which one costs less on this room. See every pattern it can do

Sample room, 1/8 in joints. Fewest cuts tries every start point and keeps the one with the fewest cuts, then the fewest small slivers. In Takeoff it also scores the pattern and joint gap you picked.

Layout smarts

Built for how the job is actually installed.

Fixtures on the grid Live

Lights, diffusers and grilles snap onto the tiles as squares. A 2x4 on a 2x2 grid takes out exactly 2 tiles, which is 8 SF.

Joint gap Live

Tiles lay out at tile plus joint, and the joint LF comes with the line.

Whole-tile or actual SF Live

Count every cut tile as a full tile, or keep actual SF. Set it once for the company.

Slope Live

Give a rise and run, and areas and lengths come out at true length.

Edge at the wall face Live

Fill and Draft can measure to the inside face, the center or the outside of the wall.
